Carteret Health Care Foundation receives a $4,000,000 matching grant in honor of Grady-White Boats.
Morehead City, NC - Carteret Health Care (CHC) Foundation of Carteret County has received the largest private grant in its history, a $4,000,000 matching grant to fund the Accelerated Cancer Care Campaign. This transformative grant is meant to inspire our community to support the Campaign by providing a generous match of $4,000,000 when the CHC Foundation is able to raise $2,000,000 of pledges and contributions, a match of 2 to 1! The new Radiation Oncology Cancer Center shall be named after Grady-White Boats.
Carteret Health Care is an independent not for profit, full service 135 bed hospital serving Carteret County. Established in 1967, it has grown and now offers a full range of acute care, diagnostic and outpatient services that include a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Joint and Spine Center, Birthing Center, Bariatric Surgery and Home Health and Hospice Services and much more.
The $10 million Accelerated Cancer Care Campaign seeks community participation to expand and enhance Carteret Health Care’s medical and radiation oncology programs by building the new Radiation Oncology Cancer Center and renovating the Medical Oncology Cancer Center. Generous, broad-based financial support will demonstrate our region’s commitment to health and wellness, reflecting our dedication to those whose lives depend on extraordinary cancer care. This is why hospital and community leaders have been the first to make pacesetting philanthropic commitments to the campaign.
CHC Foundation Board Treasurer Michael Waldrop shared, “This very generous gift will enable Carteret Health Care to expand their commitment to providing quality, compassionate, and accessible cancer treatment to the residents of Carteret County through world class facilities and state of the art technology.”
