Carteret Health Care Only North Carolina Hospital Designated as a 2022 Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital by The Chartis Center for Rural Health
Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, North Carolina is excited to announce it has been recognized as a 2022 Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital in the United States. Carteret Health Care is the only North Carolina hospital included as a Top 100 based upon the outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals according to the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX™.
Harvey Case, Carteret Health Care President stated, “Our team is always focused on providing the best care to every patient. Being recognized as the only North Carolina hospital to receive the Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital is a testament to Carteret’s ongoing commitment to the families within our community – and we could not have achieved this exceptional recognition without the support of each of our employees.”
This is the sixth year Carteret Health Care has received this recognition. The INDEX has established itself as the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. Leveraging publicly available data, the INDEX is trusted by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health across the country to measure and monitor performance across a variety of areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
As the sole community hospital in Carteret County, Carteret Health Care is also the only North Carolina hospital chosen to be a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. Local doctors and staff are able to use the latest research, diagnostic and treatment recommendations from Mayo Clinic to develop best treatment plans for Carteret patients.
Case concluded, “These achievements validate our staff’s consistent commitment to providing the best health care possible to our community.”
