Carteret Health Care has received the 2020 quality award rankings from CareChex® Awards, an information service of Quantros, Inc. These rankings recognize Carteret Health Care as the #1 hospital for Bariatrics in North Carolina and top 10% in the nation for both Medical Excellence and Patient Safety.

The 2020 quality awards from CareChex® — are based on a comprehensive quality scoring system that compares inpatient quality performance across general, acute and non-federal U.S. hospitals.

This analysis places Carteret Health Care among the Top 10% in the nation and the top position in North Carolina for Bariatric Surgery. Carteret Health Care is renowned for its treatment of various other clinical conditions, including oncology, orthopedics and bariatrics.

As the sole community hospital, Carteret remains focused on growing essential services to better serve its population and the distinction comes after Carteret Health Care was chosen as a member of the May Clinic Care Network in November 2019. Carteret Health Care doctors can now use the latest research, diagnostic and treatment recommendations from Mayo Clinic to develop best treatment plans for Carteret patients.
