Carteret Quality Recognized with Most GWTG Awards in NC

Recognized with most GWTG Awards in North Carolina.

We are excited to share that Carteret Health Care’s commitment to quality is once again recognized in the US News & World Report. As you may recall from the July 1st article in the Carteret News Times, we were recognized by Ms. Abby Fairbank, Director of Quality from the American Hospital Association with multiple Get With The Guidelines achievements.

It is noteworthy that Carteret Health Care is listed among a limited number of hospitals throughout the nation. A strong visual indication of Carteret’s outstanding accomplishments can be seen in the list of North Carolina hospitals recognized. Here you will see that Carteret Health Care received the most awards of any North Carolina Hospital.

Specifically, our hospital is recognized in the US News & World Report for six achievements with heart failure management and stroke care receiving two awards each:

• Gold Plus and Honor Roll for Heart Failure care, Highest level possible (only 1 of 102 hospitals in nation)
• Silver Plus Target and Honor Roll for Stroke care (only 1 of 65 hospitals in nation)
• Silver Award for Atrial Fibrillation care (only 1 of 14 hospitals in nation, only 1 in NC)
• Silver for Resuscitation care (only 1 of 36 hospitals in nation).
