Prior to his surgical training, Dr. Zavadzkas participated in nationally recognized cardiothoracic research at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He then matriculated into the General Surgery residency program at MUSC. Dr. Z has published extensively in several peer reviewed journals, and participated in numerous scientific meetings.
