About Dr. Moore

Dr. Jeffrey K. Moore, M.D. is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery education as Chief Resident at the Geisinger Medical Center. Dr. Moore trained at the Alfred I duPont Institute for Crippled Children and has been Board Certified since 1991 by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is an Active Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of several Orthopedic and Medical Societies. Dr. Moore was appointed by the Governor to the NC State Health Care Council in 2013 and is serving a 3 year term.

Dr. Moore has practiced in Carteret County since 1988. He opened Moore Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, P.A. in 2010. Dr. Moore is the former Chief of Staff at Carteret General Hospital, Chairman of Sound Banking Company, and founding member of Soundview Rotary. He is married to Kyra Moore and they have five children.
