Camps and Career Talks for Kids
Middle School Summer Camps: Carteret Health Care provides one and two day long summer camps for middle
school students interested in various health care fields. The goal is
to expose them to a variety of topics that may spark a future interest
in the healthcare field. Visit the Carteret County School Career and Technical
Page for more information on these camps.
Junior Volunteer Program: Carteret Health Care is committed to igniting students’ interests
in health careers through our Junior Volunteer Program (ages 15-17). Students
who are willing to commit to volunteer at least 40 hours during the summer
are placed in various clinical and non-clinical areas to explore the many
opportunities available in healthcare. Students 18 and older can complete
an Adult Volunteer form. Volunteer opportunities DO NOT provide direct
patient care.
Safe Sitter Classes: Carteret Health Care offers multiple Safe Sitter courses throughout the
year. These classes are designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to
be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.
For information about upcoming class dates, email
chceducation@carterethealth.
Career Talks - Each month, we will interview Carteret Health Care team members about
their careers or a topic within their fields. The recorded videos will
be posted here for your viewing.
Speaker and Career Fair Requests: If your class, school or organization is looking for an in-class speaker or career fair participant, please email us at
studentprograms@carterethealth.org with all event details. Based on the form information provided, we will
reach out to various contacts to work to fulfill your request.
