During the year you’ll develop your acute care skills. Our team of preceptors work closely with each resident to assist them in their practice development. Meet our Current Residents
Jessica "Jessie" Willey, Pharm.D., 2024-2025 PGY1 Resident
Jessie Willey is from Morehead City, NC and received her Doctorate of Pharmacy
from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She
previously worked as a pharmacy intern here at CHC for the past two years
and is excited to start a new role! Jessie wanted to continue her education
through the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Carteret Health Care as she admires
the breadth of clinical skills each pharmacist at CHC possesses and enjoys
the close-knit atmosphere of the staff. Jessie's current professional
interests are broad and she hopes to find more about the various opportunities
for pharmacists during her residency year, but is most excited for her
Emergency Medicine and Oncology rotations. In her free time, Jessie is
almost always outside either running, surfing, golfing, fishing, or reading.
Issac Upchurch, Pharm.D., 2024-2025 PGY1 Resident
Isaac Upchurch is originally from Wilmington, North Carolina and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University. Isaac was drawn to Carteret Health Care because of the smaller hospital setting and the variety of clinical services that Carteret Health Care offers. His professional interests are in the areas of infectious diseases and emergency medicine. During his free time he enjoys fishing, duck hunting, golf and surfing.
